I'm sure most of you have figured some of these out by now, but I thought I'd index my creations anyway.  I love these things.  The Magic Bullet blender is a perfect single-serving size for these drinks, and a snap to clean-up.

Creamsicle Shake (for those using K-Lyte)

Dr. B Vanilla Shake
1 K-Lyte Tablet
4-6 ice cubes

Dissolve the k-lyte tablet in about 1/4 cup of water.  Put everything into a blender or Magic Bullet and blend until smooth.  Tastes like an Orange Creamsicle!  This is my usual 'breakfast drink'.

Yield: 1 Protein

Peaches 'n Cream

Dr. B Vanilla Shake
1 medium peach, skinned and sliced
4-6 ice cubes

Blend until smooth.

Yield: 1 Protein, 1 Fruit

Any variation of fruit is great with the Vanilla shakes; raspberries, strawberries, orange, etc.

The Chocolate shakes go well with raspberries.  Everything else... not so much.

Mocha Mudslide

Dr. B Chocolate Shake
1/4 cup of strong coffee (or decaf if you're not permitted caffeine)
4-6 ice cubes

Add a dash of cinnamon for a slight variation.

Blend until smooth.

Chelle, these look fantastic.  I love my Magic Bullet.  Name the kitchen gadget shite and I have it!  Blame it on all that late night gummy worm tv watching past life that I used to have!  But this thing is simply great.  I haven't had one of the shakes but I will give it a go.  Thank you for the recipes.

Many a margarita made in my Magic Bullet  :;):  I bought it on a whim at Canadian Tire for $39.99 about a year ago, and it turned out to be one of the best kitchen gadgets I've ever bought.

T, try the chocolate shake with a shot of espresso, or with vanilla for an 'iced latte'  drink.  YUM!

Allergic to chocolate!  But the orange one sounds great.  Have never had chocolate but I made it up by eating cheese.

I have the one with the blender and juicer attachments.  I love my MB.  Best gadget I have.  I use it everyday -either for me or the dog.
Thanks for the shake ideas.  I will give them a try.
Bye for now

I discovered the Dr B Vanilla Shakes recently and wow am I in love with them!

I had one out of the fridge shaken and that didn't do anything for me.  Kind of gross actually.

I wanted one for breakfast the other day and it was in the cupboard so I stuck it in the freezer to chill it. Well, I forgot about it for an hour and when I went to get it out, it was partially frozen.

So I sliced up 5 oz of strawberries and cut the carton open of the Vanilla shake and mixed it in a bowl.  The result tastes like vanilla icecream with strawberries. So divine!  I could eat that every day.  Feels sinful as a breakfast though.

...thanks for the great shake ideas.  I don't have a MB, but maybe an item to get  :;):   What are the K-Lyte?

I must admit I LOVE the idea of the frozen shake=ice cream........I bet the chocolate one done that way would be great.  I think I'll have to pick up the chocolate ones tomorrow and give it a try.

My problem is that I could live on "artificial" proteins, I love the bars, but a tiny bit of vanilla shake in my coffee....and now this idea.

Can you have more than one processed protein on Maintenance?

Thanks for the info on the shakes.......I was getting soooo sick of the klyte and water 3 times a day!

I have no dr. B. Shakes but I will be sure to buy some at next weigh in!

Great...another use for my magic bullet!!! Woot Woot :p

Chelle the K-Lyte shake sounds good.  I'll buy vanilla shakes at the weigh in tomorrow and try one.  But you got me laughing as only we Bernstein dieter's would even dream of making a shake with a fizzy potassium tablet.
