So Sunday night, i'm out at a friends for dinner.  I'm there with my salad and tin of tuna, everyone else is enjoying thick, juicy, homemade cheeseburgers. Right there i decided i needed to fill this void in my cravings.

Thus i present the following.

-150g Ground Veal
-1 slice of Fat Free Cheddar
-4oz Mushrooms- Diced into small pieces
-9 Garden vegetable Bretton Minis- Crushed
-2 Thick Slices of Tomato
-2 Large Lettuce Leaves
-1tsp each Heinz One Ketchup, French's Yellow Mustard, Fat free Mayo
-Dash Onion Powder
-Dash Garlic Powder

In a bowl mix Veal, mushrooms, Brettons, Garlic powder and Onion Powder. Mix well and form into two patties.

Spray a frying pan with PAM and fry patties covered over medium heat, turning once until cooked (usually about 8-10 minutes per side). Turn heat down to low after finishing both sides.

Mix Heinz One Ketchup, French's Yellow Mustard and Fat free Mayo in a small dish and top each patty with mixture. Then top each with 1/2 slice of cheese.  Allow to melt.

Top cooked patty with slice of tomato, and wrap in a lettuce leaf.

Yield per serving:
1 protein (Slightly less than 1)
1/2 Vegetable
1/2 Bread
1.5 Garnish

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think we're allowed to have ground meat. Can somebody confirm if I'm right or wrong?

If we're allowed, this sounds yummy!

Not allowed as far as i know, I should have specified that you need to grind your own meat...Grinders are pretty cheap and pretty handy. I got mine from Walmart for $20.

It's a great idea to grind your own meat; I did not even think about that! Well, your recipe sounds yummy. I might buy a grinder :-)

Heinz One Carb is also available at the Low Carb Grocery.  I have also used the President's Choice version of the low carb....it's pretty good.

There's a Walden Farms ketsup that we're allowed too, found it at Sweet Tweets in Edmonton
