I prefer to buy these "clearish whitish" noodles over the tan tofu Shirataki noodles because the nutritionals are generally "zero everything".  On strict you're actually allowed more of the tofu ones, so those might be your preference on strict, but for me (on maintenance) I go with these to conserve my calorie budget.  Honestly, with my eyes closed, I'm not sure I could tell the difference between these (the clearish whitish ones) and the tofu ones.  The flavor and consistency to me is pretty much the same.  The tofu ones have a visual advantage of being tan and looking more like pasta should, but to me, that would be more of an issue if you were making them for someone else (who wasn't familiar with them).

Anyway, I think these are a wonderful invention and a key food for dieters who want to enjoy "pasta" without the carbs and calories.

Yeah!  Love these, unfortunately, the only place in ottawa that I found that sells them - a Japanese grocery - is closing permanently at the end of November.  So I will have to depend on Low Carb Grocery which  I know won't deliver when it's minus 40 degrees Celsius.  Sigh!

I just can't handle these noodles. I think its more the texture and smell rather than the taste, but I've tried twice and its just a no-go :(

Agree 100% with tommyboy. Did not like the texture at all and had problems digesting it as well (went right through me).  Ended up throwing out the balance I had bought (1.5 pkgs.)
