Hi Everyone....theses are real easy to make

Pam
384g (13.5 oz.) of Chicken/Veal/Beef
1 egg white
1 small apple peeled and finely chopped
8 tablespoons of Walden Farms Pancake Syrup - you can use less if you'd like
1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
Salt and pepper

If you're making it for someone else who's not on the diet you can add:

1 tablespoon grill seasoning blend (recommended: Montreal Steak Seasoning by McCormick)
Use real maple syrup instead of Walden Farms

_

Combine all the ingredients and shape in to four patties.  Spray a non-stick pan with Pam and fry away ... should take about 15 minutes (depending how thick you make them).

Yield for each one - 1 Protein, 1 Miscellaneous:Garnish, 1 Miscellaneous:Seasoning, 1/4 fruit

I just made them.....really good!

These sound really good Nick.  Another recipe I have to try.

I adjusted your yield to be "1 Miscellaneous:Garnish" (pancake syrup) and "1 Miscellaneous:Seasoning" (spices).  Does that sound right?

Thanks!!!

Yum, that sounds good Nick.  I love anything with apples in it.  I was just wondering if you are using ground meats - do you grind your own - I thought we could not have commercially ground meats or can we?

I am not liking the way I am cooking for myself right now.  I need to put more effort and thought into my meals if I am going to do this long-term.  I am doing everything as quickly and simply as possible right now and I am already tired of it and it's only been 3 weeks.  Being prepared is a huge part of doing this diet well I believe.

Hi Brian

Well for Misc. I'm pretty sure 1 tablesoon counts as one....so with 8 in there it would then be 2 per serving....

Again you can put in what you'd like

I buy extra lean ground veal.....I know were supposed to ground our own but so far I've had no problems.

Until I have some issue with it I'll continue...I had a discussion with the butcher and he assured me it was very lean meat and I can see that when I cook it and VERY little fat is in the pan afterwards.

Actually, the pancake syrup is 2 Tbsp. per day according to the food list -- a sweet treat!
